Robin Williams stars in this hysterical comedy. Armand and Albert have built the perfect life together, tending to their gaudy Miami nightclub. But their pastel tranquillity is shaken when Armand’s son announces that he’s getting married to the daughter of ultra-conservative Senator Keeley – and they’re all getting together for dinner! Can Armand and Albert transform themselves into Mr and Mrs Family Values in time? It’ll take the performance of their lives!
The Birdcage is part of our Purl + Seam strand. Doors open at 9.30am for a 10am start. The lights will be left on low, and you’re invited to bring along any sewing, knitting, crochet or other stitching projects to work on while you watch. It’s a relaxed setting where you can enjoy the laughs and your craft projects together.
This strand is presented in collaboration with Spinning Wheal. Textile artist and teacher Ellie Murray will stay on after the film, giving you the chance to continue chatting, stitching and sharing film natter in the Oak Room bar.
