After a packed-out screening of Shoot The People with Misan Harriman and Any Mundy-Castle, we’re adding an extra date (without an in-person conversation but you might just get a special message before the screening) due to huge demand.
Photographer, social activist and Oscar Nominated filmmaker Misan Harriman is one of the most widely-shared visual storytellers and cultural commentators of this age. Chair of The Southbank Centre and the first black photographer to shoot a Vogue cover, he is well-known for his portraiture of royalty and stars: but it is his reportage photography of social activists, the innate empathy he holds and giving of voice to the marginalised that is catapaulting him faster and further into a different kind of stardom.
Andy Mundy-Castle is a BAFTA winning filmmaker, with a long and prolific career documenting diverse stories through a human-centred lens. In Shoot The People he follows Misan on a journey that travels from Britain to the US, South Africa and back, documenting the power of protest through history and the growth and personal story of a shining light within the arts and activism.
