Call for entries!

Are you an aspiring, successful, or humble but brilliantly talented, filmmaker? Or do you know someone that needs the nudge? Whatever the answer, we are hungry for your films!

Featuring short films shot in, inspired by or created by filmmakers hailing from our cosy corner of the British Isles, Homegrown Shorts provides a platform for the emerging cinematic voices grown in the fertile soil of the South-West.

Based at the Curzon, the film festival is now in its 5th year, having had films submitted from over 100 filmmakers, ranging from stop-motion shot on phones to 35mm digitized film. This year the festival ventures online, enabling us to reach a larger audience – shining a brighter spotlight on our local filmmaking talent.

To enter, or find out more, email (deadline for submissions is Feb 28th).

The festival will screen on the evening of March 31st, tickets + info to follow.
