The Lion King

From Disney Live Action, director Jon Favreau’s all-new The Lion King journeys to the African savannah where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cubs’ arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother – and former heir to the throne – has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy, and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his. The all-star cast includes Donald Glover as Simba, Beyonce Knowles-Carter as Nala, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Billy Eichner as Timon and Seth Rogen as Pumbaa. Utilizing pioneering filmmaking techniques to bring treasured characters to life in a whole new way, The Lion King roars into theatres on July 19, 2019.

Our screening on Saturday 27th July 1.30pm is a Relaxed Screening. Our relaxed screenings create a sensory friendly and inclusive environment for those on the autism spectrum, people living with dementia and anyone who would benefit from a relaxed cinema experience. The lights will be left on low throughout the screening, the sound will be at a lower volume, there will be no adverts/trailers or entry music prior to the film. Customers will have freedom to move around the auditorium if necessary and there will be a quiet area for people to relax in our Oak Room. We will also be providing extra signage in the cinema to make the building easier to navigate. We hope through these relaxed screenings to make the cinema going experience accessible for as many people as possible.
