Bristol Bad Film Club presents… On Deadly Ground

We are very excited to have Bristol Bad Film Club at the Curzon for a special screening of the quite spectacular On Deadly Ground.

Bringing the very best of the very worst of cinema to the South West, Bristol Bad Film Club celebrates the joy in watching those films that make you wonder how something can be so awful and yet so wonderful at the same time. Directed by, and starring, the be-ponytailed man of martial mayhem, Steven Seagal, On Deadly Ground follows the ‘environmentalist’ hero Forrest Taft (Seagal) as he takes revenge on the sleazy oil company he once worked for. The best way for an environmentalist to do this? Blow stuff up, blow stuff up and blow stuff up (there’s also one bit where he fights a bear…). Co-starring Michael Caine, no we haven’t forgotten Michael, this is an absolute peach of 90s action madness.

Bristol Bad Film Club’s Timon Singh joins us to introduce the film with some insight in to what makes this film so particularly brilliant, taken from his recent book Born To Be Bad.
