The BBC micro:bit is a small electronic device that can be hooked up to a laptop and programmed with visual programming blocks to create anything from robots to musical instruments.

Micro:bits have LED lights that can flash messages, programmable buttons that can be used to control games or pause and skip songs on a playlist. It can also detect motion and tell you which direction you’re heading in, and interact with other devices and the internet via Bluetooth.

Children should bring along a fully-charged laptop. Micro:bits will be provided.
