A two-hour workshop designed to inspire children aged 8 and above into computer coding.
The BBC micro:bit is a small electronic device that can be hooked up to a laptop and programmed with visual programming blocks to create anything from robots to musical instruments.
Micro:bits have LED lights that can flash messages, programmable buttons that can be used to control games or pause and skip songs on a playlist. It can also detect motion and tell you which direction youre heading in, and interact with other devices and the internet via Bluetooth.
Children should bring along a fully-charged laptop. Micro:bits will be provided.
