The Curzon Cinema at Court House Farm presents... Mary Poppins

Victorian Portishead comes to the Cow Shed with a screening of the family classic Mary Poppins from 1964. Come along in Victorian costume and join in with your favourite songs. Bring a cushion and rug and enjoy some of our supercalifragilisticexpialidocious refreshments: hot chocolate; mulled wine and seasonal snacks and wrap up warm for a winter feast of film.

Parking is limited as the High Street will be closed for Victorian Sunday so customers from Portishead are encouraged to walk. Screening in the Old Cow Shed at Court House Farm, Church Rd, Portishead, BS20 6PU.

Advance booking is essential as numbers are limited.

Long resistant to film adaptations of her Mary Poppins books, P.L. Travers finally succumbed to the entreaties of Walt Disney, and the result is often considered the finest of Disney's personally supervised films. A magical, musical nanny brings a breath of fresh air into the stuffy Banks household in turn-of-the-century England. Overstuffed with gaiety, this children's fantasy is filled to the brim with wonderful dance numbers and outrageous songs (such as the seemingly unpronounceable "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"). This is Andrews' film debut and Darwell's last ever film appearance and the film's seamless blending of live-action with animation was considered a marvel in its day.
Bring the family along for the brand new Mary Poppins Returns showing from Friday 21st December at the Curzon.

PLEASE NOTE THIS SCREENING IS AT COURT HOUSE FARM, PORTISHEAD NOT AT THE CURZON CINEMA IN CLEVEDON.
