Curzon Specials provide an alternative to our weekly screenings and is a commitment to showing the best in Hollywood, art house, foreign language and documentary film making.
BRING YOUR BABY
Bring Your Baby is a weekly new release screening from our main programme and is dedicated to parents with babies. Auditorium lighting is slightly higher than normal and kept on during the film and volume levels are lower. We provide changing mats and a bottle warmer in the auditorium. Customers without a baby are also welcome.
Our satellite screenings include theatre, concerts and Q&As and are screened both live and as recorded “encore” screenings. Production companies include NT Live, RSC, ENO and Branagh Theatre Live.
Once a month Curzon Kids puts the cinema fun back into Saturday mornings. If your kids like to make and create, come along to Curzon kids, watch the film and create works of art inspired by the screening.
CURZON EVENTS AND LIVE SHOWS
Including live comedy, theatre, music and Q&As and our annual heritage day in September as part of the Heritage Open Days nationwide festival.
Animation, coding and film making workshops aimed at children from 5 years and older, usually during school holidays.
CURZON CHRISTIE EXPERIENCE
Book a chance to play the Curzon’s historic Christie Organ, typically available on Sunday mornings for a half slot charged at £25.
Silver Screenings include popular films you may have missed on release date. Screened once a month at 1pm, everyone is welcome. Admission price of £5 includes free tea or coffee and a biscuit.
On Wednesday afternoons, we offer subtitled screenings of the latest releases (where available) for people with impaired hearing.
One Saturday a month, our autism-friendly screenings create a sensory friendly and inclusive environment for people with autism to enjoy films with their families, friends or carers. Adjustments include leaving lights on low, lower volume and freedom to move around the auditorium.
On the third Monday of every month anyone who likes to talk about film is invited to join an informal conversation about their recent cinema visits. Kicking off at 7.30pm in the Oak Room Bar.
Throughout the year several art exhibitions take place in the Oak Room Bar including photography, painting and printing.
