Fundraising

If you would like to support the work of the Curzon with a one-off donation, a regular standing order or a bequest, this leaflet tells you how.

Curzon Lottery

This is part of a national scheme run by The Great Weather Lottery, further details are avaliable from their web site.

All you have to do is choose your six numbers (each one from 0 to 9) and they are matched in sequence against the last digit of the temperatures for six worldwide destinations
(e.g. a temperature of "29" degrees Fahrenheit would produce a winning number "9").
Three correct numbers wins you £2,
four numbers wins £20,
five numbers wins £250,
and matching all six numbers wins £25,000.

The key aspects of this Lottery are:

  • The chance to win £25,000 every week.
  • Only costs £1 per week per line of numbers.
  • The odds of winning are considerably better than the National Lottery!
  • Winners notified automatically by post.
  • Players can also check results at www.theweatherlottery.com or by checking in the Daily Mail.
  • No messy scratchcards.
  • No cash handling, as everything is sorted out by Standing Order.
  • Entry open to everyone over 18 & and not just Curzon supporters.

Out of every £1 line entered, the Curzon will receive 60p. All the prize money is held securely in a stakeholder fund.

So, if you fancy the chance of winning yourself a tidy little sum, and helping out the Curzon's restoration efforts at the same time why not have a go - it's dead easy to enter.

Clevedon Woman wins £10,000

Joy Brodie, Sir Charles Elton and Dave MooresChristmas 2004 has been an ‘Incredible’ time for Joy Brodie of Clevedon, who has become the lucky winner of £10,000 in the Curzon Cinema Lottery. We're especially pleased because Joy is one of our team of volunteer ushers, without whom we couldn't run the cinema.

On Tuesday 28th December there was a special champagne reception held at the cinema, with the official presentation of the cheque by Sir Charles Elton and David Moores, Chairman of the Curzon management committee.

For further details about the lottery scheme please contact Hilary Neal, our Fundraising Director on fundraising@curzon.org.uk or via the cinema.
