Adapted from John Boyne's novel, this is a story seen through the eyes of an eight year old boy shielded from the reality of World War II.

A forbidden friendship forms between Bruno, son of a Nazi commandant, and Shmuel, a Jewish boy held in a concentration camp. Though the two are separated by a barbed-wire fence, their lives become intertwined.
