35mm Simplex Standard with Monarc lamp

Catalogue number 18

The original patent for the picture head dates back to 1916. The design has little changed. The projector is interesting
as to start the projector one had to go through the Control Box (by the side of this machine). To stop the projector this was also achieved via the control box however the projector could only be actually brought to rest by using the foot pedal which applied a brake pad to the flywheel of the motor.

This projector is fitted with Western electric soundhead. The Monarc Arc lamp is a typical example normally fitted to these projectors.
