Curzon Collection: Toy Projectors: 16mm Kodatoy

Kodak introduced their Kodatoy projector for younger people as its name suggests. It had a capacity of 100ft of 16mm silent film and was designed for showing Cine Kodagraphs and Kodaplays. It has a simple shuttle intermittent and a single claw working on one set of perforations. A three bladed shutter and a simple push-pull lens is standard .

It had a light output of a 6volt lamp (torch or cycle lamp). Also available are extension arms for showing 300ft. reels. One of the three Kodatoys we have on display has been converted to 12volt 21watt automotive lamp for ‘hands on’ use. 1930-34
