PATHE VOX SOUND 9.5mm
The Vox is essentially a Pathescope S with amplifier. It was a sensation when it first appeared and even before it appeared in the UK there was a goodly library of sound films.
The projector has a 2 watts amplifier and its light output would usually be 15v. 200watts. This machine may be a Super Vox as it has the increased lamp output of 15v 400watt fitted.
The speaker is mains energised providing smoothing for the amplifier. The exciter system for the sound head is provided by the upside down projection light through an optical arrangement to scan the optical track. 1937
