PATHE COQ D’OR 9.5mm
Coq D’or translates into ‘Golden Cockerel’. This projector was produced In France and never sold in the UK. It is very rare. A very heavy machine having no cast or alloy parts. Designed originally for 30ft and 60ft.cassettes It is left handed in operation. Attachments for larger reels were available later.
The lamphouse and pressure pad hinge backwards for access to the picture gate. The lamp is possibly a 200watt. A ‘notched title’ devise allows a three second ‘still’ to be projected. This projector was scarcely seen in France and not likely to have been available in the UK, Pathescope UK were introducing their ‘H’ model at the same time. 1936
