Probably the most famous of all Pathescope
projectors and produced in the UK.
Aces, first produced in 1936, continued in production
until 1960 with the exception of WW2 years. For many
it is the first movie projector they ever owned and
it was backed up by the vast Pathescope catalogue of
films for hire or sale. The mechanism is a development
of the early BABY. These examples were cereated for
the 30ft and 60ft. cassettes but an attachment for larger
reels was available.
The light output is generally by a 16v.
8watt lamp but there were variations. Motor driven accessories
became available.
