A Kalee incursion into non-standard
gauge this projector has similarities with the American
Victor silent machines. The picture gate is out of line
with the feed and take- up spools allowing the use of
a single sprocket and thus allowing direct light. This
slight twisting of the loops was beneficial to the side
tension of the film in the gate.
It has a pre-heated 500watt
lamp. A fast pull-down mechanism and a three-bladed shutter
is a feature and rewinding is achieved via extended spindles
which permitted this to be done whilst projecting another
reel. The NP3 had a short production life. 1933.
