FUMEO X900 Model 9321 16mm Double Band
PROJECTOR
A relatively modern projector
for the Collection it dates back to the 1980's. and this
type of projector would have found use in Art Houses and
film schools and other production centres as well as in
collegiate establishments.
It is a normal 16mm projector
with 'double-head' facilities which enables a separate
magnetic sound track to be employed with film. Especially
applicable to the use of Super 16mm film where the full
width could be used for the picture area -the sound track
being on magnetic coated film. After synchronisation on
threading both picture and sound track the projector reproduced
both without further adjustment. It is still operable
and is a fine specimen of a product from the famous Italian
manufacturer.
It is intended that this projector
will be restored to full working order and used in the
Curzon cinema and we are looking for someone, who was/is
perhaps a Fumeo engineer or who has intimate knowledge
of these projectors, to assist us with the electrical
side of the projector which has been severely damaged.
